Welcome to the home of Finns, one of Ireland's longest established specialist conservation and restoration companies.

What we do - and why we do it

We have spent almost five decades protecting, conserving and renovating some our heritage's most precious buildings and monuments across the island of Ireland, the UK and Europe.

You only have to witness the cathedrals and monuments still standing today to appreciate the magnificent building technologies deployed by our forebears..

To keep our historic buildings functioning for the next millennium we believe passionately in the sympathetic conservation and restoration of those marvelous structures.

Finns is a one-stop practice with a wealth of expertise in heritage conservation. Alongside our experts who will survey your building we can supply the craftsmen to see the project through to completion and can draw upon teams of specialists including masons, steeplejacks, carpenters, lime plasterers and lighting protection installers.

Heritage Professionals

We are pleased to announce that early in 2008, Finns qualified as a member of the Register of  Heritage Contractors, one of only a handful of Irish companies that have passed the stringent qualification criteria and an acknowledgment of the skills and expertise deployed by Finns in our Heritage Work.

Our project portfolio for the last five years was scrutinised by the Heritage Registration Board, whose members include representatives from the Departments of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, the Office of Public Works, the Heritage Council, the Irish Georgian Society, Dublin Institute of Technology and the Construction Industry Federation prior to qualification.

We are also a member of the Building Limes Forum Ireland.
